Sophia Yadong Hao, Director & Principal Curator of the Cooper Gallery in Duncan in Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, has been named among The List magazine’s Hot 100 for 2024
Sophia joins a list of 100 of the most influential figures shaping culture in Scotland today.
As Director of the Cooper Gallery, Sophia has sustained a programme that brings contemporary art and visual culture into play through a rich annual exhibition and event programme featuring the work of a mix of sector leading and early-career artists, designers, writers, dancers, musicians, theorists in a transdisciplinary and lively exchange of ideas and experiences.
Sophia Yadong Hao said, “I am extremely humbled to be included in the 2024 List Hot 100. To be in this illustrious company drawn from such incredibly talented and dedicated colleagues in the arts and culture communities of Scotland is an honour.”
Established almost two decades ago, The List’s Hot 100 is a nationally respected celebration of the 100 most influential contributors to Scottish arts and culture for the past year.
